    - I understand LapFix will charge $125 diagnostic fee for each device.
    - I understand that I am responsible for all shipping costs to and from LapFix.
    - I understand LapFix will not work on Laptops or hard drives that have been already opened or worked on.
    - If payment is not received in full within 30 days after a successful repair, the device is considered abandon and may be sold for parts. This also applies for any diagnosed devices that are not picked up within 30 days as well as devices that have been paid for and left for more than 30 days.
    - I understand LapFix is not responsible for any software or data lost on my hard drive. I am responsible for backing up the data on the hard drive prior to shipping the unit to LapFix for repair.
    - I understand that LapFix is not responsible for keeping or returning defective parts that are replaced as part of the repair unless specifically requested by the customer prior to acceptance of our repair estimate.
    - I understand LapFix is not responsible for any damage caused to my Equipment during shipping to AND from our location.

    What information should I include about my computer's problem?

    Describe the symptoms you’re experiencing, when the issue began, and any events that may have contributed to the failure, such as liquid exposure, accidental damage, or unexpected shutdowns. The more information you provide, the easier it is for our technicians to begin an efficient and accurate diagnostic evaluation.

    Should I mention if my computer has liquid damage or physical damage?

    Yes. Letting us know about any spills, drops, impact damage, previous repairs, or other incidents helps our technicians understand the device’s history and identify potential causes of the failure during diagnosis.

    Can I request Data Recovery even if I'm not sure what's wrong with my computer?

    Absolutely. If your primary concern is recovering important files, simply note that on the repair request form, and our technicians will evaluate the computer to determine the most appropriate Data Recovery approach.

    How should I package my device for mail-in repair?

    Wrap the computer in several layers of bubble wrap, place it in a sturdy corrugated box with ample cushioning, and ensure it cannot move during transit. Include your contact information inside the package so we can quickly identify your shipment when it arrives.

    Do I need to include my charger or accessories with my computer?

    In most cases, no. Unless the problem involves charging, power delivery, or another external accessory, you generally only need to send the computer itself.

    Will my computer be diagnosed before any repair work begins?

    Yes. shipped to us, are typically diagnosed within one business day, and no repair work begins until the diagnostic evaluation has been completed.

    Yes. Once the diagnosis is complete, we’ll explain our findings, discuss the recommended repair or Data Recovery service, answer any questions you may have, and provide an estimate before any work is authorized.
